PROGRAM
Venice is not only a world-famous tourist destination known for the architectural wonders it offers, but also a treasure trove of the traditions and culture of a simple fishermen and peasants folk who, with dedication and hard work typical of the Venetian people, have resisted and survived in a difficult and often inhospitable lagoon territory.
Their traditions are still living in the "bacari", typical locales, inns, and Venetian “trattorias” ( small family restuarants), scattered amongst “calli” and “campielli”, in the most secluded corners of Venice.
Here you can savour the "cicchetti" (small snacks and side dishes – served in ”bacari” - cicchetti bars), typical fish noodles, meat and vegetables, accompanied by an “ombra” (shadow) , a typical glass of local wine.

09h21 departure by train to Vicenza (arrival 13h51)
10h02 departure by train to Venice
10h48 arrival in Venice.
Beginning of walk between “calli” and “campielli” ( Venice has a curious topography; it doesn't have streets and roads, and not even squares: Venice consists of Calli, Campi Campielli),.in various Venetian “Sestieri” (districts).
During the walk you will stop, to taste "cicchetti" and "ombras", in some of the most renowned Venetian “bacari”.

Participation fee: € 70.00 per person
The fee includes: the regional train ticket to Thiene-Venezia, quail and wine at 4 bacari (3 cicchetti, 1 glass of house wine, 1 / 4 lt water, per person, at each “bacaro”).
